% Notes about the CU/Monson Ameriflux instrumentation and data % processing in 2006. % % % March 10, 2008 % SpB. (sean.burns@colorado.edu) For more complete details see the calendar page at: http://urquell.colorado.edu/calendar/ and the electronic logbook at: http://urquell.colorado.edu/logbook/ -------------------------------------------------------------- -- On Jan 3-6, finished hooking the KZ CNR-1 radiometer into the data system. -- On March 6th (day 65), replaced the LI-6262 with a loaner from LI-COR. -- Between April 27th (day 117) - May 8th (day 128), a compromised junction in the power cable that goes from C1 to the tower resulted in a loss of all data (except those loggers that backed up with batteries). -- On May 18th, removed krypton hygrometer from the tower (the detector tube needs to be replaced). Campbell no longer had replacement tubes so it was not returned to us until 22 Feb 2007. So no Krypton hygrometer data between May 16 2006 until Feb 22 2007. -- On July 17th (day 198), major lightning strike near the tower. The 9-m handar sensor was broken along with several AM25T multiplexers and short-haul modems. Also, seemed to compromise one of the grounding connections. Power was restored on July 20th. -- Hi-rate data from the UCB logger (which collects soil temperature and volumetric water content) was intermittent until short haul modems were added in Oct, 2006. -- For some reason the thermocouple data were not always calculated in the covar process?? They should be fine for logger data, but not in the 5-min data. --------------------------------------------------------------
