% Notes about the CU/Monson Ameriflux instrumentation and data % processing in 2005. % % % January 28, 2008 % SpB. (sean.burns@colorado.edu) For more complete details see the calendar page at: http://urquell.colorado.edu/calendar/ and the logbook at: http://urquell.colorado.edu/logbook/ -------------------------------------------------------------- -- On Jan 20th, re-installed the 2.5 LI-7500 after sending it back to LI-COR for the solar-radiation correction. -- On Feb 17th, installed new up-looking and down-looking PAR sensors (fixes the intermittent dropout problem). -- On May 26th, started using co2 in air as the reference gas at the tower (rather than N2). Switched back to N2 on June 3. -- In July the ati-k sonic at 12.5m started having problems. On July 19th replaced it with a borrowed ati from NCAR/EOL and sent it back to ati for a recalibration. On August 25th, it was put back on the tower. -- On August 29th, removed the borrowed KZ psp (CM21) and returned it to NCAR/EOL. -- On October 25th, connected UCB logger to the data system (this adds "Tsoil_5cm_cs107" (csi 107 probe, calibrated at NCAR/EOL calibration facility), soil moisture "h2o_soil_hori_5cm_ucb_cs616" (csi 616 wcr probe), and in-canopy radiation data to the 5-min data set). Note: lots of dropouts, not included in 2005 data. Starting in January 2006 "Tsoil_5cm_cs107" and "h2o_soil_hori_5cm_ucb_cs616" become the data used within the "climate" data files. -- On November 20th, Kirk and I noticed the 21.5m csat had shifted. We attempted to return it to the same position. A new tilt correction will need to be determined. Looking at the data there was no obvious effect on the WS (after shifting it back to position). Data between Nov 15-20 might be affected. -- On December 16th, Installed new KZ CNR-1 radiometer. These data will be available for 2006. --------------------------------------------------------------
